Tamil Actress Parvathi Menon

Parvathi Menon is a Tamil film actress whose career began with the film Out of Syllabus in 2006. Parvathi is a Bharatanatyam dancer and was previously famous for anchoring Kiran TV. She has acted in 4 Malayalam films, two Kannada films, and the Tamil film Poo (Flower). Flash, released December 2007, is Parvathi’s newest Malayalam film. Once a soft-spoken, though lovely, actress, Parvathi Menon has been aking the stage and proving her skill as a leading lady.

Poo is set in southern Tamil. The movie revolves around the love that Maari (Parvathi Menon) has for her coworker Thangarasu (Veteran actor Srikanth). They work in a flower shop, and Maari spends her time working hard to raise money for her sick grandmother. The movie is a heartfelt adaptation of writer Cha Thamizhselvan’s short story “Velaiyodu Poyi”.

Parvathi Menon is currently a student of English literature in Kerala. While undoubtedly a skilled actress, Parvathi is a very serious student. Despite the adoration of fans clamoring for her to continue her career in acting, she puts school ahead of her movies. After the Poo, Parvathi Menon has stated that she wants to be sure that her schooling succeeds before she takes on another serious role. The following is a statement from the actress herself: “I’ve not taken up any offer after Poo. This is because I’m preparing for my BA final year exams. I wasn’t able to write it last year but there’s no way I’ll miss it this year. In fact, I was offered many movies [including] Aval Peyar Tamilarasi, but I had to say no,”

The fantastic student-turned-actress will undoubtedly prove a huge hit in future Tamil films. Her few roles have her fans pledging their allegiance and adoration for her. We can only hope that she continues her streak of fantastic work, and returns to the Tamil movie stage very soon!
