Hindi Actress Amrita Rao's first exposure to the challenges and rewards of acting came when she took part in the filming of an advertisement. There, her acting efforts enhanced the appeal of Fairever Face Creams. That advertisment also helped to reveal to others Amrita's acting skills. She was soon part of the Bollywood community.

To date, Amrita Rao has starred in at least one half dozen Hindi movies. The release in 2002 of the film "Abke Baras" served as Amrita's Bollywood debut.

In 2003 she starred in a love story, a film named "Ishq Vishk." She then earned a FILMFARE nomination for her ability to capture the hearts of those who viewed that Hindi film.

So far, one film "Vivah" has linked the name "Amrita Rao" to a movie that later went on to become a true commercial success. That movie came out in 2006.

Any one of Amrita's movies could one day be found not too far from the famous "Hollywood" sign. That is because shelves and shelves of taped Bollywood movies can be found throughout Los Angeles County.

Those taped movies are often found in stores that carry items such as tumeric and red chili pepper. Los Angeles contains a suprising number of markets that sell Indian groceries. Often, the owner of such a market has chosen to offer rented movies, as well as selling all sorts of foods, foods that are familar to Amrita Rao.

While the customer in such a store should not expect to find a bottle of Fairever Face Cream, that customer could probably purchase items that Indian women use to prepare some sort of facial masque.

A female customer in such a store might decide to purchase such items and apply them to her own face. Then she could dream about becoming a famous actress--the likes of Amrita Rao.
